Myrna Lou Vincent (Jones) of Cottage Grove, MN lived 92 years marked by strength, independence, and a straightforward nature that defined her life. Born on September 17, 1933, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she passed away on April 22, 2026 at her assisted living residence, where her determination and spirit were well known to those who cared for her.
She was the daughter of Myron and Eva (Johnson) Jones and grew up in St. Paul, MN. She was a graduate of Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married Eugene Vincent, on May 10, 1952 and together they made their home in Cottage Grove, MN, building a life that centered on family and community. They were lifetime and active members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in St. Paul Park, MN. After the children were grown, she began a career at 3M Chemolite, where she worked as a mail courier and in the employee store. She spent her retirement years driving patients to doctor and chemotherapy appointments with 'Community Thread', volunteering with 'Meals on Wheels' and organizing activities and block parties for the townhouse neighbors on her block.
Myrna took great pride in her family. Her apartment was filled with photographs of her children and grandchildren, and she followed their lives with consistent interest and care. She also enjoyed playing cards and loved a good game right up until her final days.
She is survived by her children: Eugene "Gene" (Lisa) Vincent Jr., Darrell (Sheree) Vincent, Doreen (Greg) Sogaard, Mark (Wilma) Vincent, Karen (Pat) Carrigan, Sharon (Mike) Vincent, and Ken (Alicia) Vincent; as well as 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
