Pamela Kay Dahlager

Pamela "Pam" Dahlager, age 72 of St. Paul, passed away October 19, 2023.

Memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 23, 2023 at the All Saints Lutheran Church, 8100 Belden Blvd. S., Cottage Grove, MN.

Pam was born October 17, 1951 in Faribault, Minnesota to Randall and Ruth Anderson.  She grew up in rural Esko and graduated from Esko High School in 1969.  She felt like she was born to be a teacher early on so it wasn't a surprise when Pam continued her schooling at Augsburg University where she earned a bachelor's degree in English education.

She taught in Circle Pines, Minnesota for her first two years before relocating to Cottage Grove where she taught for the next 42 years in District 833.  During that time she earned two Master's Degrees in education.  Teaching was her number one passion in life and loved to pour her heart and soul into educating young people.

Her family was the center point of her life.  Pam had met the love of her life, James "Jim" Dahlager and they were united in marriage on June 12, 1971.  She enjoyed staying active in her son, Christian's life and was delighted to be grandma to her beloved grandchildren, Wyn and Day.

Pam enjoyed "all things Disney", reading, and being a member of several book clubs.  She also enjoyed travelling to various places but her favorite location was Florida.  She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove.

Pam joined the Alpha Delta Kappa in 2001 and was a member of the Alpha Rho Chapter in Cottage Grove.  Through that organization, she worked on the scholarship committee to select prospective teachers to become scholarship recipients each year.  Pam's greatest passion was to teach.

Pam is survived by her son Christian (Kelsey); grandchildren Wyn and Day; brother Pat (Susan) Anderson; sister Vicki (Marvin) Brinkman; many nieces and nephews and many friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband James "Jim" and brother Randy Anderson.
