Raymond Franek

Raymond J. Franek, age 95 of Newport, passed away August 11, 2021.

Ray was an avid outdoorsman and worked as a carpenter by trade.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his wife Veronica; grandson Raymond; infant granddaughter Patricia; parents Joseph and Helen; siblings Joseph and Catherine Lighten.  He is survived by his son Duane; grandson Ryan Hatch; great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Chiarella and Marlene Knack; sister-in-law Pat Franek and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 5:00 pm, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior.  Interment will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery at 10 am, Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
