Richard Palbicki

age 53 of Cottage Grove passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer on July 11, 2009 .

Richard was born July 3, 19 56 in Winona . He graduated from Winona Cotter High in 1974 and the University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse . In 1999 he was united in marriage with Dana Lee Nies. Rick was an active church member. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Rick loved to cook and travel. He will be remembered for his unbelievable sense of humor. Rick was currently employed by Sara Lee. He had received many awards for great salesmanship.

Rick is the beloved husband of Dana; step-father of Jamie (Jamie) Campbell, Eric (Anna) Wenda; grandpa of Kayla, Collin, Kiana, Kaden; son of Sylvia; brother of Bill (Linda); son-in-law of Earl (Mary) Nies; and brother-in-law of Doris, Becky Nies, Michele Aslakson and Elaine (Jim) Dudek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Rick was preceded in death by his father Walter; and brother Jim.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Wednesday July 15 at ST. RITA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH , 8694 80 ^TH St. S. Cottage Grove . Urn Placement Resurrection Cemetery . Visitation 4-8 Pm Tuesday with a 7:30 Prayer Service AT CHURCH.
