Roger Howard

age 87 of West St. Paul

formerly of Cottage Grove

passed away September 19, 2009 .

Roger was born June 3, 19 22 in St. Paul Park . He dairy farmed in St. Paul park on the same farm where he was raised. Roger served in the United States Army during World War II. He was proud of his family. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. He was active in the community and served on the Cottage Grove Planning Commision for many years. Roger was a member and volunteer for the YMCA. He was a friend to all he met.

He is the beloved husband for 64 years of Adeline; loving father of Lynn (Bill), Dean (Gieg), Paul (Geri); grandfather of Brian, Lea, Matthew (Meghan), Andrew, Samantha, Dan, John and Lisa; great-grandfather of Adam & Sasha.

Roger was preceded in death by son Joel; brothers Charles, James, Marvin.

Special thanks to all caregivers at Southview Senior Living for their loving care and support. Roger’s body was donated to the University of Minnesota Medical School.

A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held 11 AM Wednesday with gathering at 10 AM at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd , Cottage Grove . Memorials to YMCA-WSP or All Saints Church.
