Age 62 of West St. Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 11, 2005.
Roy was born September 19, 1942 in St. Paul the son of Elmer & Virginia (Padelford) LaChapelle. He was raised in West. St. Paul. He married Deborah Johnson on June 14, 1996 in West. St. Paul. He enjoyed going to the casino.
Preceded in death by parents Elmer & Virginia; brothers Jerry, Guy, Ed & Bobby.
Survived by loving wife Debbie; son Scottie; stepsons Micka & Matt Becker; sisters Beverly Shafer, Jeanne, Renee (Bob) Carpenter, Denise (Jerry) Elmquist, Aimee Cross, Celeste Smith, Jolene (Bob) Strom); brothers Peter (Deb), Joseph, Steven (Dawn), Tony (Sue); in-laws Gene & Judy Johnson; sisters & brothers-in-law Steve, Suzi, James ?Chopper? (Cindy) & Sandy (Gary) Aultman; as well as many other relatives & friends.
Funeral Service 3 Pm Sunday (TODAY) at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) with visitation 1-3PM.
Roy was known for his great sense of humor which he kept during his 14 month struggle with cancer. He was loved & will be deeply missed by many. Special thanks to his sister Jeanne & Hospice of the Lakes.
