Russell Repke embarked on his final journey on July 29, 2023, surrounded by his family. At the age of 75, he left behind a trail of memories, both grumpy and endearing, that will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew him.
He was a man of immense character. With a no-nonsense approach to life, he didn't hesitate to speak his mind, and his honest and straightforward nature both charmed and challenged those around him.
Russell embraced the thrill of the outdoors, riding his side by side through the Yuma desert mountain area, golfing, gun collecting, hunting and fishing.
Russell's legacy extended beyond himself as he built a loving family that will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his beloved wife, Allison, his daughter, Rochelle (Dan), and his sons, Rob (Erin) and Tom (Michelle). He was also a brother to Ron (Gayle). Russell was predeceased by his father, Raymond, mother, Margaret, and brother, Randy.
His many grandchildren, who knew the secret to bring a grin to even his grumpiest days, will miss him dearly. For them, he was not just "Grandpa Buff" but an extraordinary character who added spice to their lives with every interaction.
To honor the journey of Russell Repke, a Celebration of his life will be held at Russ and Allison's home (contact family for address), on Saturday August 26th starting at noonish. We look forward to seeing all of his family and friends come together to share memories and stories.
As we say our final goodbye to Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Friend, we carry his memory with us. May the legacy of "Grandpa Buff" continue to inspire resilience, honesty, fairness and love in all who knew him.
