Ryan A. Howe, age 40 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 21, 2021 due to a motor vehicle accident.

Ryan was born on April 22, 1981 in St. Paul Minnesota, and raised in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.

Ryan was a gifted poet. She also enjoyed drawing, painting, and music. She was an avid outdoorswoman who loved the beach, nature, camping, and sitting around the bonfire with friends and family. She believed in the power of natural healing and enjoyed practicing it.

Most of all, Ryan’s children were the most important part of her life, along with the rest of her family.

She is survived by her children, Connor Murphy and Lily Murphy; ex-husband, Loren Murphy; parents Terri (Steve) Flum and Wayne (Judy) Howe; grandma, Helen Howe; brothers, Rich (Tina) Howe, Dan Howe, Jordan Howe, and Adam Howe; and many loving cousins and friends.

Ryan is preceded in death by her son, Jacob Linson; grandma, Mary Ann Rhodes; grandpa, Bill Carrigan; infant sister, Heather; uncle, Tim (Connie) Carrigan; aunt, Colleen Carrigan; and other loved ones.

A memorial service for Ryan will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 1pm at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St. So. Cottage Grove, MN, 55016) with a visitation starting at 11 am.
