Scott F. Lecher

December 1, 1954 — August 27, 2023

Rosemount

Scott F. Lecher, age 68, passed away on August 27, 2023, with his beloved family by his side after a 3-year battle with lung cancer. Scott was the second born of the four children of Donald and Catherine (Hennessey) Lecher from Saint Paul.

The loves in his life were numerous. Most notably his children Jason Lecher (Tara Kreidermacher), Justin Lecher (Denise) and Katie Lecher (his favorite). He taught them the importance of family, cleanliness, loyalty, and a good one-liner. He took great pride in his grandchildren Braeden Lecher (21), Peyton Lecher (15), and Amelia Neuhaus (11) for whom he would re-gift the same birthday card every year.

He excelled at growing flowers, evicting bunnies from his garden, bouncing his leg, mowing the lawn in perfect line formation, scoring games of Molkky, outsmarting gophers, playing pull tabs, and sometimes winning at bingo but definitely always yelling inappropriate phrases during bingo.

His favorite pastime was flipping between the Game Show Network and the Hallmark channel, always with a Pepsi in hand. Although, watching Dirty Dancing with his kids and nieces was a close second. He never went anywhere without his blue Columbia jacket (a second coat underneath during the winter) or his “belly bag” when he still worked at the Post Office. They made a comeback, Dad!
