Sherry Keen

Sherry Jo (Elg) Keen, age 67 of Newport and Cottage Grove, passed away October 7, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Memorial service will be 11 am, Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at Newport United Methodist, 1596 11th Ave., Newport, MN with visitation starting at 9 am.

Sherry was born March 1, 1954 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Donald and Donna Reynolds, the oldest of 3 daughters.  She was a 1973 graduate of Park High School and through the years worked at a variety of locations, primarily in the food service industry.

She was married to Marvin Keen on June 26, 2021 in Newport and made their home in Cottage Grove.  Sherry was a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan and a collector of numerous things.  Faith was vitally important in her life and she was active at Newport United Methodist Church.  Sherry will always be remembered as a loving and caring person who made friends easily.

Sherry is survived by her husband Marvin; daughter Teri Reynolds; sons Jeremy and Jeff Keen; 13 grandchildren; sisters Tracy (Craig) Birttnen and Dawn (Joe) Taylor and lots of nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by husband Roger Elg and her parents.
