Sue Ellen Curry

Sue Ellen Curry, 84, formerly of Hastings, MN, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 2, 1941, to David Newton and Esther Viola (Nelson) Curry, Sue Ellen grew up in St. Paul, MN, and graduated from Harding High School in 1959.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerome Curry, and her sister Maureen (Curry) Kvittem.

Sue Ellen is survived by her daughters Kristine (Duane) Copeland, Joell (Jay) Pundsack, and Angie (Joe) Silva, her grandchildren Jerry (Rachel) Copeland, Toni and Joe Silva, Lee Ann (Jesse) Bren, Alanna (Michael Navazhylau) Pundsack, Juliana and Breanne Pundsack, great grandchildren Isabella, Rowan, Claire, Jaime and Amara, her brother Jimmy (Nancy) Curry and her niece Jeanne (Matt) Giles.

Mom, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Animal Humane Society or The Bond Between in Sue Ellen’s memory.

Visitation will be held at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St S, Cottage Grove, MN, beginning at 10:00 am on Friday, October 3, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Cottage Grove Cemetery, 10999 70th St S, Cottage Grove, MN.
