Teresa A. Johnson

Teresa A. Johnson, 84, of Cottage Grove passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bob; daughter, Sis; and son-in-law, Mike Palmer. She is survived by children, Bobby, Donald, Linda (Jim) O’Malley, David (Jenny), Jimmy, Suzy Palmer, and Katie (Don Miesner); grandchildren, Jessica (Rocky) Ross, Jason (Laura) Meyer, Jeremiah O'Malley, Sarah Palmer, Megan (Jacob) Tyler, Austin Palmer, Brad and Brandon Miesner, Ashley, Matthew, Nathanael, Ben and Leah (Caleb) Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Jaylynn, Weston, Teagan, Remi, Jameson Meyer, and Allison Ross; sisters, Mimi Ballantine and Toni Hertel; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Terry was a proud member of New Life Church in Woodbury and a prayer warrior for many. She was strong and fought hard to stay with us, but she was also ready for heaven. She was a crafter, puzzler, loved her Hallmark movies and loved to comment “cool pic” on Facebook.

During all of her recent hospital stays when a nurse or doctor would leave her room they would ask “can I get you anything else?” She would always answer “a new body.” Mom, you finally got your wish, and we are so happy for you. No more polio arm, breathing or heart issues, and no more painful knees. You are free!

A special thanks to her friend, Chris Hassard who has been by her side for the past three months helping her family care for her.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 9 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at New Life Church, 6758 Bailey Rd, St Paul, MN 55129. There will be a luncheon following the service, all are welcome. She requested that people wear her favorite colors to her funeral, either purple or red. There will be a recording of her Celebration of Life available in a downloadable file the week after the service. If interested in the file, please reach out to a family member.
