Tony Carl Buggs

Tony Carl Buggs, age 61, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at United Hospital on June 7, 2025. Tony was born to Thomas A. Buggs and Pamela R. Buggs on October 20, 1963. Tony had two sisters, Tina (Billy) Fisk and Angela Bracy. Tony was uncle to one niece, three nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

One of Tony's greatest joys was driving truck and being a father to his triplets. Tony had many dreams of how he could support his family. Tony was in Iraqi Freedom from 2003 - 2005 December. In January as a Department of Defense contractor working for ITT.

Tony married Chika M. Buggs on April 23, 2005 in a traditional wedding. Court marriage was May 11, 2005 in Nigeria, South Africa. On December 1, 2009 they welcomed the triplets, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Anthony.

Tony's other surviving family is Aunt Darlene Wilson, Uncle Charles (Betty) Buggs, lots of cousins, Chicka's Dad and Mom Kevin Okay Conleth Obasi, Oyikansota Elizath Obasi and families.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Pamela Buggs, grandparents, and cousins.

Celebration of Tony's life will be 11 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church, 6875 Jamaica Ave. S., Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016 with a luncheon to follow.
