William "Willy" Maurice Drager, age 44 of Cottage Grove, MN passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026.
Willie faced many challenges throughout his life. Living with disabilities brought obstacles that many could never fully understand, but he met each day with quiet strength. Through every hardship, one thing never changed—he was deeply loved by the people who surrounded him.
Willie was the cherished son of his devoted mother and a beloved brother to his two sisters and two brothers. The love they shared was unwavering, and they stood for him through every chapter of his life. He was also blessed with compassionate PCAs and daily caregivers who became so much more than caregivers—they became family. They loved Willie dearly, cared for him with kindness, and filled his days with friendship, laughter, and genuine compassion. Their love and dedication meant more than words can express.
Despite the many challenges he faced, Willie found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved his coffee, never turned down ranch dressing, and enjoyed the comfort those familiar favorites brought him. It is these everyday moments that those who loved him will remember most—small memories that now mean everything.
Willie's life touched the hearts of many. Family, friends, caregivers, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him will forever carry his memory with them. Although he faced many struggles, he also inspired those around him with his resilience and the love he both gave and received.
Willie leaves behind countless people who will miss him more than words can say. While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that his struggles have ended and he is finally at peace. His memory will never fade, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Willie will be missed by many, but he will never be forgotten. His kindness, his spirit, and the love he inspired will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Willie is survived by his mother Sharlene Armstrong; his two brothers Michael Armstrong and Tobian Armstrong; his two sisters Amy Drager and Angela Smallwood; many nieces and nephews; and those that took care of Willie as family and also called Willie their brother. He is preceded in death by his father Rodney Drager as well as his uncles and aunts.
