Willie Rankin, our beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Brother, Friend, at the age of 82 went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2009.
Willie was born March 2, 1927 in Perryville, Arkansas the son of Artie & Emma Rankin. He was raised in Arkansas. He served in the United States Navy during world War II. Willie enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and volunteering at the New life Food Shelf.
Willie was preceded in death by his son Bill, granddaughter Kelly. He was survived by wife of 63 years Mazelle; daughters Deb Flaa, Diana (Mike) Flaa, Cindy (Randy); sons Eddy, Jim (Kerry); sisters Artie Mae Clay, Helen Magie; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his smile, friendliness, willingness to help others, sense of humor, and love of family and friends.
Funeral Service 11 AM Friday with visitation 10-11 at NEW LIFE CHURCH, 6758 Bailey Rd. Woodbury. Interment Cottage Grove Cemetery. Memorials to New Life Food Shelf.
