Yvonne Brewster-Bartusch 

February 14, 1959 – November 9, 2023 

 It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Yvonne Brewster-Bartusch from an extended illness on November 9, 2023, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Stephen John. 

 Born in St. Paul on February 14, 1959, Yvonne was the fourth of seven children of Gordon Bartusch and Patricia Blevins. Although she lived in different places (including Kansas, New York, and Germany), Minnesota was truly her home. Yvonne’s creative and artistic talents began early in life with her love of music, dance, and the aesthetic arts. In later years, she developed a passion for belly-dance, costuming and Renaissance. She was a familiar face at local Renaissance festivals, both as a performer and as a vendor. Her last social event this year was at Ren in the Glen and now she is belly-dancing with the angels.

 Yvonne is survived by her husband John Douglas Brewster, son Matthew Leland Zank, daughter-in-law Brooke Ramona Zank, grandson Logan William Zank, stepdaughter Lindsey Brewster, sister Cheryl Lynn Bourgois (St. Paul), sister Renée Lee Graham (Tampa, FL), brother Goron Raymond Bartusch (Sartell, MN), sister Valerie Kay (St. Paul), sister Annette Marie Ohrenberg (Harrah, OK), and many heart-and-soul friends. She will be missed.
