Daniel Wayne Dague, age 33, of Red Wing, formerly St. Paul Park, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2020.
Daniel was born October 8, 1986 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Randy and Joan (Backer) Dague. He grew up in St. Paul Park and graduated from Park High School in 2005. Dan attended Mankato State University and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2011 with a degree in Industrial Design. Over the last 9 years, Dan was able to turn his hobby into a career while working at Midwest Military in Prior Lake where they restored vintage military equipment.
Dan was married to Jess Musselman at his family’s home on June 25, 2014. Through the years, Dan enjoyed photography, drawing, and taking part in historical re-enactments of military events. He was especially proud of the English style barn that he helped build on his parent’s property.
Dan is survived by his wife Jess; cats Kilroy and Sherman; parents Randy and Joan; sister Jenny (Ryan) Vander Slice; brother Matt (Katie); nephews Jonas and Simon; niece Emma as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Juanita Dague and Elmer and Dolores Backer and his uncle Les Dague.
Memorial Mass, 11 AM, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 920 Holly Ave, St. Paul Park, MN 55071.
