A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Bathgate Cemetery, near Bathgate, ND.

Nancy Fiedler Coppola was born on the family farm on July 25, 1936, the 4th of 11 children to Albert and Edith (Gurke) Fiedler. Nancy was raised on the family farm, graduated from Bathgate, ND high school and went on to teacher’s college at Valley City, ND. There she was introduced to her calling and love of teaching children. She later went on the gain her MS in Special Education from Aberdeen State University in Aberdeen, SD. She loved the challenge of teaching those children who had difficulty in the regular classroom and taught them how to bloom and grow. Many of whom still had contact with her with grateful hearts. Her love of education continued through her life.  Well into her 80’s she was reading Russian and English novels and added them to her lifelong log and synopsis of books read in her lifetime. Nancy taught at Grace City, Breckenridge, Milbank, SD, Grand Forks and was part of Pembina County Special Ed team. She married John Loberg and they had 2 children Kay and John Jr.  After Nancy retired, she moved back to Milbank.  She loved to entertain her bridge & Bible study clubs and had a natural affection towards her cats.  Her family was vitally important to her and looked forward to sister "Hen Parties" whenever they were able to get together.  She later married Ken Coppola. Nancy spent her last years in Cottage Grove, MN where she died at the age of 83.

She especially loved to spend time with her children & their spouses and grandchildren.  Her laugh was infectious and always knew when she was around.  She was an amazing, smart, funny and caring person who impacted and blessed the lives of all that knew her.

She is survived by her children John Jr. (Barb) Loberg and Kay (Todd) Hoernemann; grandchildren Ian and Erin Loberg; sisters Linda Ganssle, Patty (Gary) Becker, Vicki (Larry) Hanft; brothers Jack Fiedler, Duke (Arlene) Fiedler, twin brothers Henry and Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother Jim; sisters Jean Collette and Gladys Meagher, sisters-in-law Kay and Eileen Fiedler, brothers-in-law George Meagher, Bob Collette, Bob Erlendson, Fred Ganssle and nieces and nephews Wanda and Deb Fiedler, Shane Ganssle and Mary Collette.
